What goes around

I feel like hot buttered death. I should have seen it coming – I spent most of yesterday with a scratchy throat. Went to bed an hour late due to the Lost finale, and spent another hour tossing and turning, alternately freezing to death or burning up.

This morning I woke up feeling like someone had taken a rolling pin to my face, and I knew I had contracted The Ick. As a preventive measure, I had some Alka-Seltzer Plus this morning, but I still feel pretty icky (now with a side of queasy!) so I don’t know if it had any effect. Boo!

My sinuses are starting to feel full and the whole system in my head is fucked up and swollen, evidenced by the fact that my hearing aids are bothering me more than usual. Maybe later I’ll trek out to Walgreen’s and see if they have anything interesting that might kill this before it gets too bad.
