Today (and yesterday) I am thankful for the friends. Old friends, new friends, Imaginary Internet Friends, I am thankful for all of them.
I often feel like a bit of a lone wolf. I know I’m not good at the day-to-day things that sustain a friendship but I am VERY good at the big things. Like, I’m not going to come water your plants while you’re on vacation but I will shave my head in solidarity if you’re undergoing chemo or happily submit to testing to see if I’m a bone marrow donor or something like that. But the small-talk-y stuff is not my thing.
Still. I love the friends. They amuse, berate, cajole, support, and love me, too. I think.
