What December has been like

I haven’t been posting nearly as much as I would like to. I just don’t have the urge right now. There is nothing really exciting going on, honest.

That’s not to say that things are boring, though. We definitely have things happen, just nothing blog-worthy, I guess you could say.

The days are very short. It gets dark around 4 PM here, which sucks like nobody’s business. However, the darkness hasn’t really been affecting me as much this year. I think it’s because I am not stuck in an office all day where I can’t see outside. That is always a recipe for a messed-up body rhythm and I don’t have that going on. Jillian and I try to go outside every day, even if we just stomp around the front yard a bit. I think this helps me a lot.

The fact that I don’t have a crappy job is also big help – it’s hard enough to deal with the chemical imbalances that this time of year brings. Dealing with a jackass boss and idiot co-workers doesn’t help. So it’s nice that the urge to strangle people doesn’t come up every half-hour like it used to.

We are doing just fine. Freddie’s job situation has become very interesting, but that’s all I can really say about that right now. My job situation is still up in the air. I’m looking, but I’m not killing myself over it. Starting my own company has been a lot of fun so far. As soon as the holidays are over, I am really going to knuckle down and get some shit done.

Jillian is in great form – she’s got a lot of words and is learning to put them together. She knows who I am now and no longer calls me Elmo. But when Elmo is on TV, she goes insane! She loooooooves Elmo. I can deal with that because hey – at least it’s not Barney.
